Job Description

Target Role:QA testing with 4g/5G Core network in Bengaluru

Eligibility:Any Graduate

Key Responsibilities

Perform functional, integration, system, regression, and validation testing of 4G/5G Core network functions such as AMF, SMF, UPF, and related components.
Validate Control Plane functionalities and end-to-end 5G Core call flows.
Test and troubleshoot telecom protocols including NAS, NGAP, PFCP, GTP-U/GTP-C, SCTP, and HTTP/2.
Analyze signaling procedures, session management, mobility management, registration, authentication, PDU session establishment, and data forwarding.
Execute test cases based on 3GPP specifications and 5G Core requirements.
Perform protocol-level troubleshooting using packet captures and network analysis tools such as Wireshark.
Identify, analyze, and report defects with proper logs, traces, packet captures, and reproduction steps.
Perform regression and automation testing for 5G Core network functions.
Validate system performance, stability, scalability, and reliability under different traffic and network conditions.
Collaborate with development, network, and integration teams to investigate and resolve issues.
Prepare and maintain test plans, test cases, test scenarios, test reports, and defect reports.

Required Skills

Strong experience in 4G/5G Core Network testing and validation.
Good understanding of 5G Core architecture and network functions, especially MME, SGW, PGW, HSS, PCRF, AMF, SMF, UPF, UDM, AUSF, PCF, NRF
Hands-on knowledge of 5G protocols such as:
- NAS
- NGAP
- PFCP
- GTP-U / GTP-C
- SCTP
- HTTP/2
Good understanding of Control Plane and User Plane architecture.
Experience in functional, integration, system, regression, and end-to-end testing.
Strong knowledge of 5G signaling procedures and call flows.
Experience in protocol troubleshooting and log analysis.
Hands-on experience with Wireshark and packet-level analysis.
Knowledge of Linux/Unix environments and basic networking concepts.
Experience with test automation using Python or other scripting languages is preferred.
Familiarity with Git, Jira, Jenkins, or other testing/CI tools is an added advantage.
Good understanding of 3GPP specifications related to 4G/5G Core.
