A warehouse worker or associate receives, stores, and ships inventory within a facility. Key duties include unloading trucks, picking and packing customer orders, operating warehouse machinery (like forklifts or pallet jacks), maintaining accurate stock records, and adhering strictly to facility safety protocolsReceiving & Storing: Unload incoming shipments, inspect goods for damage, and organize merchandise in designated storage locations. Order Fulfillment: Accurately pick, pack, label, and prepare orders for on-time shipping or customer pickup. Inventory Management: Maintain accurate stock counts, log incoming/outgoing products into warehouse software, and report discrepancies. Equipment Operation: Safely operate material handling equipment such as pallet jacks, forklifts, or automated retrieval systems (requires certification). Safety & Upkeep: Keep the workspace clean, clear of hazards, and compliant with all workplace health and safety (OSHA) standards Typical Requirements & Qualifications Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods, walk frequently, and regularly lift/move heavy objects (typically 50+ lbs).
