Were looking for a hands-on Search & Personalization leader to own and scale our Search platform end-to-end. Youll have the opportunity to architect Search from the ground up and evolve it from traditional retrieval & ranking to AI/ML-powered semantic search, personalization and intelligent discovery. Experience from high-scale consumer internet/product companies such as Swiggy, Meesho, Flipkart, Amazon, Myntra, Zomato, Zepto or similar environments is highly relevant. What Youll Do Own the Search & Personalization roadmap, architecture and execution Build scalable, low-latency Search & Information Retrieval systems Solve problems across query understanding, retrieval, ranking, re-ranking & personalization Drive semantic search, embeddings, vector search & hybrid retrieval Apply ML/NLP/LLMs to improve search relevance and discovery Define relevance metrics, experimentation and A/B testing frameworks Lead and mentor engineers while staying hands-on technically Partner with Product, Data Science & Engineering teamsWhat Were Looking For 69 years of software engineering experience Strong experience in Search / Relevance / Information Retrieval / Personalization Team Lead / Technical Leadership experience Strong understanding of indexing, retrieval, ranking & query understanding Hands-on with Elasticsearch / OpenSearch / Solr / Vespa or similar Experience with Learning-to-Rank, re-ranking & recommendation systems Experience with semantic search, embeddings, vector & hybrid search Exposure to ML/NLP/LLMs for Search or Discovery Strong distributed systems, scalability & low-latency engineering fundamentals If youve built or scaled Search at a high-volume consumer product and want to shape the next generation of AI-powered Search & Personalization, wed love to hear from you!
