Training Officer Reporting to: Center Manager Specific Responsibilities: Deliver a structured training programme to each group of youth starting on the Livelihood programme Lead all training in the various colleges for the Magic Bus Livelihood programme, which delivers skill training to youth and supports them into jobs and further education placements Deliver Sports for Development activities to youth using Magic Bus curriculum and in house resources to engage youth successfully and enhance their learning Deliver training content developed by Magic Bus national Programme Development Team and tailor this where necessary to the local context whilst ensuring session outcomes are delivered. Ensure training outcomes are achieved in each session and youth receive consistent messages throughout all training interventions. Design an effective Livelihood Centre training timetable with the Mobiliser and ensure that this is constantly monitored and updated to enable youth to access the training. Apply and continuously develop innovative training techniques to make training more effective, fun and interactive Undertake comprehensive needs assessments 1:1 with youth to identify their strengths & limitations, training and life skills needs and overall targets for the programme Work in partnership with the Mobiliser or specialist career counsellors during the needs assessment to ensure youth have the impartial Information, Advice and Guidance that empowers them to make positive choices about potential careers. Act as the lead worker in the first phase of youths engagement with Magic Bus Livelihood programme and ensure all youth receive the full and proper offer during this time Using the needs assessment and guidance findings support each youth to draw up a Personal Development Plan that contains the training activities and targets that they will work towards Support youth to achieve the skills training, mentoring and employer activities outlined in their individual Personal Development Plans in partnership with the Placement and Partnership Officers who focus on referrals to employers and training institutions Deliver a sharp focus on all training and counselling contributing to successful youth placement, training or further education and being able to sustain these for 6 months Contribute to mapping institutions (government / NGO/ private and corporate foundations) that provide skills training opportunities in the local areas Identify and respond to risks that could lead to youth dropping out of the programme. Build strong and trusted relationships with youth from the start of their engagement with Magic Bus. Undertake data collection and reporting duties that demonstrate the effectiveness of the Livelihood programme. Act as a role model at all times demonstrating behaviour that displays the characteristics youth should develop to be successful in their chosen field. Desired Competencies and Qualifications: Any Graduate with minimum 2-3 years of experience in soft skills and life skills training, having good communication, presentation and facilitation skills. Excellent communication skills (written and oral) in English and local language; proficiency in English and non-verbal communication is mandatory Strong digital learning skills for training others and for self-learning Good facilitation skills and ability create classroom learning activities based on topic Ability to work independently and as part of a team; and with all levels of staff, volunteers, and school authorities Strong learning-to-learn skills for picking up new soft skills subject areas quickly Ability to mentor students for higher aspirations and skill building Salary: 28,000 to 30,000 per month (depending on experience and last drawn salary) Travel and Mobile allowance will be over and above Locations: Taloja (Navi Mumbai) / Kurla / Jogeshwari / Malad / Mankhurd / Govandi

Position Summary Founded in 1999, Magic Bus works with children and young people living in poverty, taking them from a childhood full of challenges to a life with meaningful livelihoods. We equip young people aged 18 to 25 with the skills and knowledge they need to grow to become first-generation salary earners with secure careers in the organized sector. Magic Bus is recognized by the Great Place to Work Institute as one of Indias Best Employers among Nation Builders. The Magic Bus Centre-Based Skilling program on life and employability skills enhances young people's agency by equipping them with the necessary competencies and helping them secure sustainable service-sector jobs. Mobilizing young people to come to the MB Livelihood centres is a critical program component. Each physical centre mobilizes youths from various channels. The youths primarily come to the centre from a radius of 10-20 km. The Officer Mobilization at the Livelihood Centre level will play a crucial role in leading Magic Buss efforts to mobilize young people for its skilling program. It includes identifying and reaching out to potential channels, opening up various pipelines for mobilization, building partnerships with local NGOs, Institutions, schools, social media, and communities, and ensuring a steady pipeline of youth into our programs. The incumbent will be part of the Livelihood Centre team, which closely collaborates with the other centre teams. In the role, the incumbent will operationalize the center's mobilization efforts. This role requires a campaign leader with a strong background in youth connection, youth mobilization, and effective community connections. Key Responsibility Areas 1. Strategizing extensive local mobilization efforts: a. Develop a hyper-local youth mobilization strategy for skilling programmes, by ensuring a consistent pipeline and channels of youth for achieving center-wise outreach. b. Build partnerships with local NGOs, CBOs, local government and non-government institutions, and other stakeholders to engage the youth. c. Identify key community leaders and influencers and foster effective engagement for building pipeline of youth mobilization. 2. Outreach Campaigns a. Collaborate with the livelihood center team for overall youth outreach and the monthly batch launch plans. b. Continuously refine youth data gathering methods (building pipelines for mobilization) to secure high-quality youth under the D-60 approach. c. Design effective hyper-local campaigns (community mobilization) to attract young participants to the Centers skilling programs. d. Manage lead generation and lead conversion efficacy. e. Analyze current data sources from youth inquiries (e. g., leads from social media, community mobilization) and data from regional managers. Desired competencies · Knowledge of the youth development sector, skilling, and youth-related challenges. · Ability to lead a mobilization campaign · Familiarity with government policies and initiatives related to youth empowerment and skill development. · Competent in using social media platforms for campaign management. · Grounded personality along with leadership skills and public connection · High ethical standards and cultural sensitivity to engage effectively with diverse communities and stakeholders. Qualifications and experience · A Bachelors degree in a relevant field such as Business, Marketing, Social Sciences, or a related discipline is typically required. · 1-3 years of relevant work experience in youth mobilization, partnership development, and related roles. · Prior experience in working with youth-focused skilling programs, NGOs, or educational institutions is highly desirable.
