Job Summary:

We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer – Technical Expert to lead the design, development, and optimization of our data infrastructure and pipelines. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in modern data engineering technologies, data modeling, ETL frameworks, and cloud platforms. As a lead-level data professional, you will mentor junior engineers, drive best practices, and collaborate closely with data scientists, analysts, and product teams to deliver scalable, high-performance data solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the design, architecture, and implementation of large-scale data pipelines and ETL processes.
• Develop, optimize, and maintain data ingestion, transformation, and storage solutions across multiple systems.
• Build and manage data models, schemas, and data warehouses to support analytics and reporting needs.
• Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and reliability through automated validation and monitoring mechanisms.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Data Science, BI, Product, DevOps) to define and deliver high-quality data solutions.
• Implement and enforce data engineering standards, best practices, and governance frameworks.
• Oversee data migration and integration projects across on-premises and cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Evaluate and recommend new technologies, tools, and methodologies to enhance the data ecosystem.
• Lead, mentor, and guide junior engineers, conducting code reviews and technical training sessions.
• Ensure solutions are scalable, secure, and cost-efficient within the organization’s cloud infrastructure.

Qualifications & Skills:

5+ years of hands-on experience in Google AppSheet & Google Looker

Strong understanding of App Script, Data Modeling, and Automation Logic

Ability to lead and guide existing junior data engineers

Experience in project delivery, best practices, and workflow design

Engagement Type: Full-time contract-based resource

Project time line-3-4 months

• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Experience: 7–12 years of experience in data engineering, with at least 2–3 years in a lead or senior technical role.
• Strong proficiency in SQL, Python, and/or Scala.
• Expertise in ETL tools and frameworks (e.g., Apache Airflow, Informatica, Talend, dbt).
• Hands-on experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, or Flink.
• Deep understanding of data modeling, warehousing (Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery), and OLAP systems.
• Proven experience with cloud data platforms (AWS Glue, Azure Data Factory, GCP Dataflow, etc.).
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and version control (Git).
• Knowledge of data governance, security, and compliance frameworks.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and leadership skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities for cross-functional coordination.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certification in AWS, Azure, or GCP Data Engineering.
• Experience in real-time data processing and streaming analytics.
• Exposure to machine learning pipelines or MLOps frameworks.
• Familiarity with tools like Databricks, Terraform, or Apache NiFi.
