Required Skills

• 8–12+ years of experience in SAP ABAP development, with at least 2–3 full-lifecycle SAP implementations.
• Experience working as an ABAP / Technical Lead in at least one implementation.
• Strong hands-on experience across RICEFW:
  • Reports
  • Interfaces – IDoc, BAPI, Proxy
  • Conversions – LSMW, BDC
  • Enhancements – BAdIs, User Exits, Enhancement Framework
  • Forms – SmartForms, Adobe Forms
  • Workflow
• Strong ABAP OO development experience.
• Hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA development, including CDS Views, AMDP and RAP.
• Experience developing and consuming OData V2/V4 services and working with SAP Gateway for Fiori/UI5 applications.
• Working knowledge of SAP CPI or SAP PI/PO for interface design, monitoring and troubleshooting.
• Technical ABAP exposure to at least one module: FI-CO, MM or Treasury (TRM).
• Knowledge of S/4HANA RISE / Private Cloud, clean-core principles and extensibility approaches.
• Experience with side-by-side and in-app extensibility.
• Strong debugging and performance-tuning skills using ST05, SQL Trace and ABAP Code Inspector.
• Experience with transport management and coordination with BASIS/Security teams.
• Experience preparing and reviewing technical specifications.
• Exposure to Fit-to-Standard and Show & Tell sessions.
• Strong stakeholder management and client communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead ABAP technical development and delivery across S/4HANA implementation projects.
• Design, develop and review RICEFW objects based on business requirements and technical specifications.
• Estimate and size RICEFW objects based on complexity and manage delivery during the Realize phase.
• Develop modern S/4HANA solutions using CDS, AMDP, RAP and ABAP OO.
• Design and troubleshoot OData, IDoc, BAPI, Proxy and other integration interfaces.
• Support Fiori/UI5 applications through SAP Gateway and OData services.
• Work with CPI/PI/PO teams on integration design, monitoring and issue resolution.
• Ensure development follows clean-core and S/4HANA extensibility guidelines.
• Perform debugging, performance optimisation and technical issue resolution.
• Coordinate transports across multi-system landscapes with BASIS and Security teams.
• Participate in Fit-to-Standard, Show & Tell, sprint planning and technical reviews.
• Work closely with functional teams, client stakeholders and co-delivery partners.
• Review technical designs and ensure quality of ABAP development.
• Support testing, deployment, defect resolution and production readiness.
• Provide technical guidance and knowledge transfer to AMS/support teams.

Preferred

• Experience in BFSI / Insurance, preferably Life Insurance.
• Exposure to SAP FI-CA in Insurance or Utilities.
• Technical experience with SAP Treasury and Risk Management (TRM) or Financial Asset Management (FAM).
• Knowledge of Indian localisation including GST e-Invoicing, e-Way Bill and TDS.
• Experience integrating SAP with Policy Administration, Claims Management or Agent Commission systems.
• Experience with banking/payment file integrations, including UTR updates and vendor/employee payment processes.
• Exposure to multi-ledger / multi-GAAP environments such as IGAAP and IND-AS.
• Knowledge of LTMC / Migration Cockpit / LSMW and data migration frameworks.
• Experience with SAP Activate and Quality Gate-governed implementations.
• Experience working in multi-partner co-delivery models.
• SAP ABAP / S/4HANA certification is an advantage.
• Prior experience providing KT to AMS/support teams.
