Job Title: Investment Banking Analyst

Job Overview

We are seeking a highly analytical and driven Investment Banking Analyst with 1 to 3 years of core finance experience to join our corporate finance and advisory team in Mumbai. In this role, you will play a critical part in supporting financial modeling, valuation analysis, industry research, and the creation of client presentation materials for mergers and acquisitions (M&A), capital raising, and corporate advisory mandates.

Key Responsibilities

Build, maintain, and review detailed financial models, including discounted cash flow (DCF), trading comps, and transaction comps.
Conduct extensive industry, market, and corporate research to support deal origination and execution.
Draft high-quality investment pitch books, confidential information memorandums (CIMs), and management presentations.
Assist in organizing and executing financial due diligence processes for corporate clients.
Monitor market trends, macroeconomic changes, and corporate earnings releases across core industry sectors.

Required Skills

Strong foundational knowledge of corporate finance, accounting principles, and valuation methodologies.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (financial modeling shortcuts, macro basics) and PowerPoint.
Keen attention to detail with the ability to interpret complex corporate financial statements.
Excellent written and verbal business communication skills for cross-border and executive coordination.
Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deal timelines.

Preferred Qualifications

Degree in Finance (B.Com Hons, BBA Finance, BMS) or advanced paths like MBA Finance, CFA (Level 1 or 2 clear), or CA Inter/Final.
1 to 3 years of stable corporate experience in investment banking, equity research, corporate development, or transaction advisory.
Prior exposure to financial databases like Bloomberg, Reuters, or Capital IQ is a significant advantage.
