Job Summary

We are actively seeking a highly skilled and analytical Senior Programmer Analyst with over 6 years of robust development and application support experience. In this role, you will play a critical part in maintaining, developing, and upgrading enterprise-grade systems using VB.NET, XML, and Web Services (SOAP/REST).

The ideal candidate must balance strong hands-on legacy and modern .NET programming capabilities with deep technical troubleshooting skills to support business-critical applications. Core Responsibilities

• Application Development & Support: Design, code, and maintain robust business applications using VB.NET, legacy .NET frameworks, and modern development standards.
• API & Data Integration: Architect and manage data integration points using complex XML structures and Web Services (both SOAP and RESTful services).
• System Troubleshooting: Act as a tier-3 support resource to perform deep debugging, root-cause analysis, and systematic application troubleshooting.
• Database Programming: Write optimized SQL queries, manage database schema connectivity, and handle application-tier performance tuning.
• Collaboration & Delivery: Work independently to own feature development while closely collaborating with cross-functional technical teams and business stakeholders.

Technical Skills Required

• Core Language: Strong hands-on engineering experience in VB.NET and the .NET framework ecosystem.
• Data Interchange: Deep expertise in processing and manipulating XML data, schemas, and structural parsing.
• Web Services: Proven experience consuming and building SOAP and RESTful web services.
• Databases: Solid understanding of relational SQL databases, transaction handling, and query troubleshooting.
• Methodologies: Strong grip on software development best practices, object-oriented design (OOP), and clean coding methodologies.

Qualifications & Attributes

• B.E. / B.Tech / MCA / M.Sc in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related technical domains.
• 6+ years of relevant software development and live application support experience.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking capabilities.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills to interface smoothly across functional groups.
